Established in Edinburgh in the early nineties the Scottish National Committee has grown to incorporate committees in Glasgow and Aberdeen and as a consequence projects have been financed throughout the country. Between them the three committes organise a steady stream of fund raising events during the calendar year, averaging not far short of an annual fundraising profit of £150,000. That success in generating funds is reflected by a diverse and extensive range of projects that have benefitted from Wooden Spoon Scotland's support over the last seventeen years.

Since inception the Scottish National Committee has been able to inject over £2.2 million into local projects and in September 2012 the Trustees formally approved Scotland's 50th project.
