South Devon Regional Golf Day will take place at Dainton Park Golf Club on Thursday 30th May 2013.

The 2013 Devon Regional Golf Day Plymouth will take place at Boringdon Park Golf Club on Thursday 23rd May.

The trio of Devon Project openings finished on Monday 22nd October with Spoon Ambassador Phil Vickery officially unveiling a new holiday caravan at Croyde Bay for The Friends of Plymouth Portage.

On the 19th October 2012, Spoon Ambassador Phil Vickery opened a new play barn at the CHICKS Moorland Retreat near Tavistock on Dartmoor.

On the 18th October 2012 the Devon Spoon committee travelled to Longcause Community Special School in Plymouth for the opening of their new sports hall. The committee were joined by Bill Hill, Spoon CEO and Spoon Ambassador Phil Vickery who officially opened the project.

Wooden Spoon has teamed up with Exeter Chiefs to produce a new six-week programme aimed at helping youngsters with emotional issues.

Many grateful thanks to those who took part in the Wooden Spoon Annual Lottery during 2011.On Monday 12th December, fourteen tickets were drawn by Wooden Spoon's Trustees from over 16,000 returned, and the lucky winners have now been notified.

The Wooden Spoon Lodge at Pathfield School in Barnstaple,Devon was opened by Mike Catt OBE, former Bath, London Irish, British Lion and England Rugby World Cup winner on 28th September. Spoon Devon Committee Members and many of their corporate marketing partners were hosted by Bruce Priday, Chairman of Devon Wooden Spoon Region, to thank them for their generous contribution and support. They were joined by fundraising staff from the TNT Exeter Depot, who came to see for themselves how the money they raise for Wooden Spoon has benefitted children like those at Pathfield School. David Bird, Devon Committee Member and Managing Partner of Devon and Cornwall Financial Solutions Centers of Clydesdales Bank very kindly invited Mike Catt OBE to do the honours at the official opening.

Wooden Spoon Devon donated £205,000 towards the conversion of the St Barnabus Church in Dartmouth which provides accommodation and training for homeless young people. They are trained in a commercial restaurant/kitchen under the name of Dartmouth Apprentice. The Wooden Spoon Kitchen and The Wooden Spoon Training Room were opened by Sir Clive Woodward OBE on
21 February 2011.

Following on from the London Offices' incredible launch of the Strutt & Parker Ball Tour at which over £22,000 was raised, the giant rugby ball is well on it's journey around the country's regional offices.

Team Devon Wooden Spoon have invested £30,000 to Teen Cuisine in St Budeaux, Plymouth providing a kitchen installation which is a vital lifeline for socially disadvantaged young people to meet and discuss various life skills including the education of food. The kitchen enables them to prepare and cook fresh food which they can eat in a social environment.

Former England, British & Irish Lions player, Matt Perry officially opened The Wooden Spoon Therapy Suite' at the Ellen Tinkham School in Exeter, accompanied by over 50 Wooden Spoon supporters.

Spoon's newest project to be unveiled and the first for 2010 will take place at Ellen Tinkham School on February 11th.

Torquay's thriving special Combe Pafford Business and Enterprise School, Combe Pafford, witnessed Jason Leonard OBE, officially open its Wooden Spoon Vocational Centre on Friday 17 July.

On Thursday, 12th March 2009, local TV, and Radio and photographers joined the gathered crowd to witness Danny Grewcock, the Bath & England Rugby player, officially open two Wooden Spoon projects.

On Tuesday 30 September, David Trick visited Torquay in South Devon to officially open the Wooden Spoon Conservatory at the independent mental health charity, Cool Recovery.

The Devon Region hosted openings of two new projects, an Outdoor Riding Arena at the Calvert Trust with HRH The Princess Royal in attendance, and a new "Wooden Spoon Cafe" at the Knight Club in Exeter.
