Tom strides out for Spoon

Running in Sunday's third Marathon the Spoon team has now raised over £25,000 all of which is used to fund projects in Sussex. The Charity celebrated this success yesterday when runners and Spoon Members gathered at Brighton Youth Centre's premises in Edward Street to handover the new Wheelchair Lifter.

The new Wheelchair Lifter was formally presented by Sussex Honorary President, Mick Cleary. In addition to Sussex Committee members and Nick Fielding from Head Office, two of the runners Neil Dermott and Steve Pearce, were also there.

Another runner for Wooden Spoon Tom Jenkins said "I really enjoyed running for Wooden Spoon (except the final 5 or so miles perhaps). It was a great atmosphere on the day, really nice weather and a great route. Thank you very much for the opportunity!"
