Wooden Spoon, the children's charity of rugby, is proud to announce it's partnership with the largest rugby, netball and music festival in the world, the Bournemouth 7s.

City based financial services company, Welbeck Group take on Deutsche bank as a curtain raiser for the London Scottish versus Bristol clash, on Sunday 27th November. Both companies are significant sponsors of London Scottish and will play an exhibition curtain raiser match at 12.30pm.

What a year it's been for Wooden Spoon rugby, with victories across the whole of the British Isles, and while rugby prides itself as one of the ultimate team sports, it would be remiss of Wooden Spoon not to acknowledge the outstanding individual achievements of some of our key players whose contribution both on and off the field has been vital to Wooden Spoon Rugby's success.

Once again Wooden Spoon will be the beneficiary charity for the JP Morgan Premier 7s at Bath, Northampton, Sale and Harlequins over July and August. The series will feature some of the best and brightest talents from across the Aviva Premiership culminating in the JP Morgan Final at The Twickenham Stoop on August 5th.

On 9th July Wooden Spoon Women beat Wasps in a one sided final to win the inaugural Womens Middlesex 7s. Playing in front of a large crowd at Twickenham stadium Wooden Spoon were runaway winners beating Wasps Ladies by a margin of more than 40 points.

Yet should we be surprised?

Not for the first time this season, Wooden Spoon are hoping to be bring home the glory for the kids at the Vauxhall Middlesex Charity Sevens, but for the first time in the history of the tournament Spoon will have a women's team competing in the inaugural Middlesex Sevens Women's tournament.

As the 7's season starts rounding the final bend Wooden Spoon's form shows no sign of waning, competing in two different tournaments across the country on the same day and bringing back silverware from both.

Saturday 4th June saw the continuation of what is fast becoming a barnstorming season for Wooden Spoon Rugby, as the Wooden Spoon Women added yet another trophy to their already impressive haul this year.
On a gloriously sunny day in London Wooden Spoon capped what has been a brilliant start to the season by winning the Womens Elite division, beating England in a thrilling final 14-7.
