Earlier this month, the Wooden Spoon Women's 7s team reclaimed the Kinsale 7s title they previously won in 2011.

The Steven Sims Cavaliers are a 7s team made up of friends of the late Steven Sims who tragically died on 26 May 2012 aged just 23 from ITP - a rare immune disorder that affects the number of platelets in the blood.

Last week Wooden Spoon RFC competed in the 56th East Grinstead Sunshine 7s in Sussex.

While the rest of the UK was enjoying the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Wooden Spoon RFC were enjoying a party of their own at the biggest rugby, netball and music festival in the World - The Bournemouth 7s.

Wooden Spoon RFC were back in action this weekend in Richmond for Rugby Rocks. In the glorious sunshine the Mens team were defeated in the quarter-finals whilst the Womens side were for the second consecutive tournament beaten in the final by the Irish international side.
