Spoon CityClub received a tremendous boost by being named as one of only two benefitting charities of the exclusive 2011 Story of Christmas Appeal, and the prestigious and spectacular Christmas carol service of the property industry and London corporate sector. The service, which was held on the 14th December at St George's Church, Hanover Square, Mayfair in the presence of The Lord Mayor, was conducted by the Appeal's Patron, The Bishop of London, and introduced by its President, Dame Judi Dench CH DBE.

On the evening of Wednesday 7th December, Industry and Sporting Ambassadors as well as other generous Spoon supporters enjoyed an evening in the elegant Institute of Contemporary Arts, the perfect setting for Wooden Spoon to deliver it's thanks to the great support that our Ambassadors have shown Spoon over the last year.

Hollywood Glamour set the theme for our spectacular Ball this year, held at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster last Friday, 25th November. A glamorous night full of star-studded entertainment was enjoyed by all. Spoon would like to thank everyone who supported this very special evening, which raised well in excess of £200,000. The exact total is to be confirmed, but at this stage it looks likely to be a record breaking figure.
