Established in 1981, Rural and Urban Training Scheme Ltd, (RUTS), provide alternative curriculum education to young people (mainly aged 14-19 years old) through a practical programme of activities utilising motorcycles as a focus.

Wooden Spoon welcomed England and Lions legend Phil Vickery to open the play area at Fort Royal School Worcester on Friday 23rd November 2012. Spoon have donated £25,000 for specialist playground equipment including a swing with wheelchair access and a roundabout, drums and paint-boards.
