TV star Chris Chittell, Emmerdale's 'Eric Pollard' emerged from the Woolpack Inn into bright sunshine to handover the keys of a brand new "learnmobile" donated by the Wooden Spoon charity to the East Yorrkshire Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre. Lucy and Craig from John Jamieson School were delighted to meet Chris as part of a visit to Emmerdale village to celebrate the handover of the learnmobile, a van that will be used to transport resources to the three hospital schools in Leeds as well as transporting pupils who may have a physical and medical difficulty.

Chris kindly agreed to help Wooden Spoon with the handover of the van that will launch a new service to children and young people across the City of Leeds. Tim Fee, Emmerdale's Line Producer kindly offered to host the formal handover of the learnmobile and arranged for Lucy and Craig together with three members of staff from the school to have a tour of the village whilst meeting a number of the cast during their lunch break.

Philip Blunden, Spoon trustee and projects co-ordinator was on hand with the Yorkshire region's Chairman, Richard Smith to arrange the handover of the learnmobile to the school with Michael Coghlan, Spoon stalwart, capturing proceedings on his camera.
