The all Westend cast provided a stunning show on each of the Spoon evenings. Unusually, during this summer, the weather was kind and both nights were warm and sunny, helped by a Pimms reception in the adjacent Staging Post timber lodge prior to our guests pre-show meal. This is the fifth year that the Theatre shows have featured on the Leicestershire Regions calendar.
It is hoped that with the Midlands regions looking to have more inter region cooperation that next year other regions can join in possibly with their own nights!
It is worth visiting the website for the Hotel to see what other shows are available during this summer.
In all 100 people enjoyed the two evenings and just under £1500 was raised from the two raffles and some concessions on the ticket prices.
A further summer event is scheduled during the Kilworth House Theatre late summer run of The Sound of Music, again with a full Westend cast in deepest Leicestershire. The first evening will be on the 12^th Sept and with ticket sales so strong it is likely that a second night will be added. In all a successful summer addition to our funds despite the recession!
