Golf

The format of the day is Stableford Golf, best two scores counting on each hole. We will be playing at 3/4 handicap (max Men 24 and Ladies 36).

Tee times will be allocated. As a general rule, we allocate the tee off times according to geographical consideration and with the assumption that you will be travelling from your region to The Oxfordshire on 19 October. It would help considerably to let us know if you are going to arrive on Thursday 18 October so we can allocate the earlier tee off times to you to accommodate those who will be travelling on the day.

We will email you your tee times as soon as we've allocated the tee times to all teams.

A special golf rate of £55 per person is available on the 18 and 20 October.

Accommodation

Staying overnight is optional. All room rates include breakfast. The rates are:

£100 Bed and breakfast - Single Occupancy per room
£110.00 Bed and breakfast - Double occupancy per room
£180 Bed and breakfast - 2 Night Stay rate, single occupancy, Thursday and Friday
£200 Bed and breakfast - 2 Night Stay rate, double occupancy, Thursday and Friday

The number of rooms reserved at this rate is limited. Please call and reserve your rooms early and by 7 September to ensure that you get a room. We cannot guarantee availability of rooms or special rates after this date.

For reservations, please call The Oxfordshire on 01844 278300. Please specify the date(s) and how many people you will require accommodation for.

Rooms are also available to book on Thursday night for guests with early tee times. If you wish to book accommodation for Thursday night, it will be at the current going rate for the week.

Dress Code

Day: Standard golf attire
If you would like to order Wooden Spoon polo shirts for your team, please call Marlina on 01252 773 720 by 26 September. The shirts are £9.99 each and they are available in Spoon colours.

Evening: Jacket & tie (preferably Spoon tie!)

Dinner & Dietary Requirements

Please inform us by 28 September if you are not attending the dinner and entertainment in the evening or if any of your party have special dietary requirements.

If you would like to invite extra guests for dinner please inform Marlina by 28 September with the name and number of guests. The cost for this will be £40 per person.

Wine

In order to assist The Oxfordshire and ensure a swift service, a wine list is attached to pre order wine for your table. Please order your wine directly with The Oxfordshire by 3 October quoting the event.

The nearest airport is Heathrow. Transport is not provided to and from the airport and train station to The Oxfordshire. The local taxi company is the Cab Co Taxi, Tel: 01844 299 444.

By Train:
The nearest train station is at Haddenham and Thame Parkway (on the Marylebone to Birmingham route),approximately 5 miles from The Oxfordshire.

By Car:

From London
Leave the M40 at Junction 7 and take the A329 towards Thame. The Oxfordshire Golf Club is on the right-hand side of the A329 just 1.5 miles (2.4 kms) from the motorway.

From Birmingham
Leave the M40 at Junction 8a (no exit at Junction 7) and take the A418 to Thame for 1/4 mile, then take the first right onto the A40. Follow this road until you arrive at the A329 and turn left. The club is located 1/1/2 miles on the right-hand side.
