Various events were held including the Captains Golf Day, and a Gentlemen's Dinner attended by Gareth Chilcott Honorary President of the Somerset Wooden Spoon, as well as ongoing collections during the course of the year for numerous other events.
David Reed, Chairman of the Somerset Region of the Wooden Spoon on behalf of the Committee would like to thank Rick and Elizabeth and all the members of Burnham and Berrow Golf Club for this generous donation to the charity.
These funds will be contributing the largest part of the cost of purchasing a Van at the end of April to be used by Ups and Downs who are based in Weston Zoyland. It will enable Ups and Downs to go out and about to children with Down Syndrome and provide educational needs and support/facilities to children and families who are unable to travel covering most of the South West.
