The Wooden Spoon Ball lived up to all expectations with the glitz and glamour of Hollywood!!
A brilliant theme was supported by a superb menu of food and wine, first class entertainment (including Marilyn Monroe -well I was convinced!!!)- magnificently hosted by Alistair McGowan , who entertained us with his "other selves" as well as proving to be a great auctioneer!
Suzie Haworth gave an absolutely heart wrenching plea on behalf of the charity, its motives and achievements and emphasised how much there is still to do
But Suzie and her ambassadorial helpers epitomise the ethos "actions speak louder than words" by stimulating, motivating and urging the 800 or so guests to give as generously as they could on the night with the resulting, amazing £200k + raised
Well done Wooden Spoon - another excellent triumph for the children
