So said Mrs Tina Harvey, the Head at Perseid School, where on 1st October 2011 a magnificent new purpose-built building was opened as the Upper School Campus by John Robertson, a paralympic sailor, who cut the specially designed tape which was followed by a cannon-fired deluge of confetti!
Surrey Spoon was proud and delighted to have supported the school by funding the first floor sensory studio, and this was officially opened by David Jackson (Chairman of Surrey Spoon) who was accompanied by Zafar Hasnain (Chairman of Governors), Tina Harvey, Chris Edge (the Deputy Mayor of Merton) and his wife, and a young pupil called Sabin.

The school had an open day giving all those present (parents, staff, guests and children) the opportunity to look round the greatly increased facilities in their new building. The support that the school clearly has was fully demonstrated by the fact that the official opening in the large Sports Hall was completely filled and standing room only.
