Malcolm Foulkes-Arnold and Simon Whitaker completed the distance with the help of supporters and members, who made up the 12 strong team. Starting at 7a.m. and after three refreshment stops (plus taking in the picturesque grounds of Sandringham) they arrived nine hours later at the Jolly Sailor in Brancaster.

Conditions were near perfect with sunny intervals and a light wind. A total of £5000 was raised for Wooden Spoon with Malcolm and Simon both raising £2000 each.

The Century Cycle Challenge is a well organised event, with excellent support for novice and experienced cyclists alike with all 240 starters finishing the event!
