You can't help admire the skill and commitment to be one of the celebrity competitors on Dancing on Ice. Kyran Bracken, the London Honorary President switched his boots for blades and has spent the last two months entertaining the public with his leapfrogging, piggybacking, bodypopping skill, speed and strength. Along with partner, Melanie Lambert, Kyran scored consistently high marks and was declared early on as the "best technical skater." Things got better each week and instead of being ridiculed by the rugby world, friends, players and fans got behind Kyran and lent their support, voting in their droves to ensure he reached the final.
Just like the World Cup match, the first performance wasn't the best but the skill and consistency showed through and the final skate off of Torvill and Dean's famous Bolero were commented on by the judges as being "fantastic, not a foot wrong." It was therefore only right that Kyran was crowned
Dancing on Ice Champion 2007. And to top it all, the following week Kyran became the Champion of Champions, beating former winners of the celebrity show. Two trophies in two weeks and Kyran has become a household name, though ironically not through his chosen sport of rugby!
Dancing on Ice does raise money for charity and of course, Kyran was supporting Spoon, making the victories all the sweeter. Spoon is very grateful to him for his support and for all the subsequent donations he has made from television and newspaper interviews. Congratulations Kyran!
