No ALT tag specifiedFollowing on from the hugely successful event held on HMS Victory in the summer of 2006, Wooden Spoon are delighted to announce another unique evening of fine entertainment at the historic Painted Hall in Greenwich on July 6, 2007.

Situated within the Old Royal Naval College, the Painted Hall was designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1694 and was originally built to serve as the dining hall of Greenwich Hospital. It was here in January 1806 that the body of Lord Nelson lay in state after the Battle of Trafalgar as thousands came to pay their last respects to one of England’s finest Seamen. The paintings on the wall all represent a story or an event that happened, and took Sir James Thornhill an astonishing 19 years to complete.

On Friday 6th July 2007, Wooden Spoon will host a unique evening inside the Hall. Guests will embark riverboats from designated Piers between Westminster and Canary Wharf, and then enjoy a fabulous floating Champagne reception whilst passing the famous sites of London. Upon arrival at the Painted Hall an evening full of fine food and excellent entertainment awaits, before returning by river, where you can dance the night away as you pass the London sites!

This event is a wonderful opportunity for individuals and couples, as well as the perfect event at which to entertain corporate guests. With tables of up to 10 and 18 available, seated in traditional naval style, no group is too big or too small!
