 The evening featured members of the 1966 Football World Cup Squad including Martin Peters, Roger Hunt, Ray Wilson, Nobby Stiles, George Cohen and Jack Charlton. Members of the 2003 Rugby World Cup Squad were also in attendance including Jonny Wilkinson, Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio, Jason Leonard, Mike Catt, Matt Dawson, Danny Grewcock, Josh Lewsey and Will Greenwood.
Other distinguished guests included Sir Clive Woodward OBE and his wife.
The evening was compered by Steve Ryder and the auctioneer for the evening was Lord Archer. Live musical entertainment came via new opera divas, Elysium. All monies raised after costs from the World Cup Fever Dinner were split equally between The Bobby Moore fund for Cancer Research UK and Wooden Spoon.
Warwickshire Spoon benefited from this wonderful event to the amount of £52,000 and has since agreed to donate £10,000 to Spoon Central to assist in future match funding of projects.
