| The highly successful dinner was sponsored for 7th year in a row by Dunedin Independent plc. The Scottish Committee headed by Charles Bryden hosted a magnificent dinner with great entertainment for 455 supporters.
Master of ceremonies, Ian Robertson kept everyone in order during the evening while the entertainment was provided by speakers, Stan Taylor and Martin Bayfield and musical entertainment from Karen Hughes.
A highlight of the evening for Scottish rugby fans was the parading of the Calcutta Cup. It was brought into the room by current Scottish Internationalists Simon Taylor and Ally Hogg and remained on show for the duration of the event.
The Committee hope to have raised a staggering £50,000 from the night. Charlie said of the event: “Judging by feedback I have received everyone had a great time and we look to have raised a wonderful amount for local projects. Thank you to everyone for their sponsorship and support.“
