Spooners Show their True Colours
The Hertfordshire Rugby Football Club Golf Championships brought out the best in everyone. In addition to the many Spooners, all wearing the distinctive striped ties, there were some players wearing their own bright Rugby Club blazers, particularly Olney and Bishop's Stortford (pictured) and Barnet Elizabethans.

No ALT tag specifiedThe Hertfordshire Rugby Football Club Golf  Day was run in conjunction with the Rugby Clubs Championship at MidHerts Golf Club in August. All represented their favourite teams faithfully. The eventual winners were from Banbury Rugby Football Club, with the runners-up being Old Tottonians Rugby Football Club. 

The event was run expertly run by Chris Pool and Wooden Spoon raised around £5000 for local children on the day. It was a great turnout with 120 golfers playing and 140 dining in the evening. Ian Robertson, as always, entertained the crowds with his rugby stories and jokes.
