Due to the region’s links with Sale Sharks Rugby Club, representatives from the club visited the shooting ground. Not only did some of the players have a go, they brought along the Guinness Premiership trophy for all to see!

The shoot attracted 36 teams of three people from all over the North West, which consisted of mainly businesses and clubs. The businesses generously sponsor the event every year by contributing top prizes for the auction held after the shoot, which itself raised over £2000. Charlie Womersley, Chairman of the Manchester & Cheshire Committee said “We’d like to thank Manchester Property, the organisers and the people on the day for supporting Wooden Spoon. A fantastic day was had by all, as well as raising the profile of Wooden Spoon and the work it does”.
