Local Family Holds Party Which Raises £5400 for Herts Spoon!
Sam Gray, the sister-in-law of Heather Elliott of the Hertfordshire Spoon committee (seen with husband Mark at right), celebrated her 40th birthday last year with a fantastic party at their house in Burnham Green. It was such a success that they decided to hold another party this year but this time to raise money for charity.

Neil and Sam worked hard to ensure that some superb prizes were donated for the auction, including a custom made set of Ping golf clubs, a flight in a bi-plane and a limited edition picture from last year's Ashes series.  Thanks to the generosity of the guests, these two events and the sale of the Spoon bears displayed on the tables raised just over £5,400 for the charity.   The Committee was represented at the Ball by Mark & Heather Elliott and by Chris Pool and his wife Suzie (as seen above).

Wooden Spoon is grateful to the Gray family and all their guests for making a great evening even better by choosing to benefit local children!
