| Hole in one at Ulster Regional Golf Day |

| The Ulster Regional Golf Day was played once again at Rockmount Golf Club in May and turned out to be another great success. |

After indifferent weather all week and entirely due to superb planning by the Committee, the sun shone all day.
The Committee was pleased to have Tony Richards over on a visit to Ulster and he played in a fourball including Willie John Mc Bride, Jack Kyle and Bob Watson (a long standing spoon supporter).
The winning fourball comprised of Johnny Keenan, Neil Florence, George Johnston and David Sheard, all members and great supporters of Spoon. Congratulations to them and our best wishes in representing Ulster in the National Finals at Belton Woods on September 29th.
It was thought that Tony Richards' visit was 'the highlight of the day' until the roar from the gallery told a different story! Kirk Shilliday scored a fantastic hole-in-one at the 12th. Kirk was a player with the JR.Consultancy fourball and to mark this great occasion he was presented with a painted print of the 12th hole signed by Willie John and Jack. Congratualtions on a great shot!
Thanks to Rockmount Golf Club and all their staff who made it such an enjoyable day and the Ulster Region will be back to do it all again in May, 2007. |
