The West Coast Scores at the Lancashire Wooden Spoon Golf Day!
On the 14th of June we once again we enjoyed the excellent facilities of Knott End-on-Sea Golf Club located on the Fylde Coast. We were made very welcome by Ian Holmes, the Club Captain, as seen below.

The golf was followed by a dinner in the clubhouse with Yorkshire comedian Mike Farrell providing the humorous entertainment. Read and Errington 4th team, captained by Spoon stalwart Albert Morley, 'on loan' from Tarmac ran away with the first prize scoring 101 points, as seen in the above. Amongst our guests and sponsors, we were delighted to welcome the regional golf day sponsors Gerrards who unfortunately collected the Wooden Spoon as their prize. The event raised in excess of £4000 and still counting- bringing a smile to everyone!
