Nicky Smith and Chairman Phil Pemble recently hosted visits to the the Teenage Cancer Unit in Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital where Nicky is a staff nurse. Nick's dad Ian, last year's captain, learnt all about Spoon from his daughter. Working together with The Forest of Arden has resulted in Spoon being a recipient from the Captain's charity.

Ian Smith seen in the picture on the 18th of the Masters course presented a cheque for £2150 to the region at the beginning of March. Note how wonderfully co-ordinated in Spoon colours Ian and Phil were at the handover.
