| Over four hundred and seventy attended the tenth consecutive Book Launch Dinner at Prestonfield, Edinburgh at the end of October, which was sponsored once more by Dunedin Independent. |

| Ian Robertson acted as master of ceremonies in his own inimitable style and highly entertaining and humorous speeches were given by former Test cricketer Chris Cowdrey and the Bath, England and Lions prop forward Gareth Chilcott. A successful evening saw £40,000 raised on the evening. |
