Letchworth Rugby Club Dinner
Over 60 Wooden Spoon supporters attended the annual Letchworth Rugby Club Dinner, now in its fourth successful year. The evening was organised by Graham Steel, ex-President of the Letchworth RFC.

The guest speaker was long-time Spooner, Ian Robertson, who spoke eloquently and conducted an auction of Rugby Memorabilia. In total, the evening raised around £3500.

Hertford Rugby Club Dinner
John Atkinson, the past President of Hertfordshire Rugby Football Union, and past Captain and President of Hertford Rugby Club, organised the fourth Wooden Spoon Dinner at the Club. Around 85 diners enjoyed the 'memory lane' stories of Derek Quinnell of the Barbarian, Wales and Lions. John Atkinson and Graham Steele are both active Spoon members.

The founders of the Hertfordshire region, Roy Campbell, Chris Pool and John Nicholl attended the both the Letchworth and Hertford Rugby Club dinner, which were decorated by Spoon balloons attached to Spoon Teddy bears, all sold at a profit. Over 20 new members were recruited, which was excellent considering that both Clubs are strong bases for the Hertfordshire Spoon and many were already there at the Dinners.
