The Marathon involved a mixed group of 12 players, eight of whom have played at any one time over the last 24 years.
Each player was sponsored and in total the team raised over £6000. Players started out in glorious sunshine but ended the tournament in torrential rain! In the end, high spirits triumphed over the weather.
The money was divided equally between Wooden Spoon and the St. Joseph Hospice.
John Nicholl, from the Spoon Hertfordshire Region and Roger Sharpe of the Hospice were on had to receive cheques from the dedicated tennis players, Tracey and Wal Mackie. Thank you very mcuh to all involved for a great FUNdraiser.
