Sedbergh School supported Spoon, raising approx £13,000 of the total cost, the rest coming from events run by Wooden Spoon Cumbria. Sally-Ann Griffin, charities co-ordinator at the School felt it was fun and madness rolled into one. Everyone pulled together and the pupils saw something very real for their efforts. Paul Wallace-Woodroffe, also a member of staff and co-Chairman of Wooden Spoon Cumbria felt that this proves that anything is possible if you want it enough. The pupils built up a real enthusiasm and so did the parents and staff.

The School won the inaugural Endeavour Cup for its efforts and now looks forward to seeing it awarded to other Schools as the School Academy Programme spreads around the UK. The minibus has already had some considerable exposure becoming part of the Sweet Chariot tour, complete with police cavalcade, visiting Kendal, Penrith RFC and Carlisle town centre!
