 Mere statistics will convey the full impact of this event, 506 guests, 25 tables over-subscribed, full house notice put up on August 10th and last but best of all over £28,000 raised for disadvantaged children in our region!!
Helping the event swing along were the BBC’s Mr Ian Robertson as our MC. Main speaker was Bill Beaumont the recent Lions’ manager in New Zealand and comedian Sean Sykes who did extremely well to quell the audience when he rose to speak at 16.40!!
Some lunch, some day and a record amount of money raised from our ever generous supporters in Yorkshire. The Christmas luncheon has now become the ‘must go to’ Christmas party in Leeds! This success has left the Yorkshire committee with the nicest of problems and from January they will be focusing their attention on how best to keep everyone happy in 2006! Answers and suggestions on a postcard please…………..!
