 This year Paul Theakston’s Black Sheep Brewery took over as the main sponsor. Guests were able to enjoy a selection of the brewery’s fine ales in the magnificent surroundings of Rudding Hall near Harrogate as well as out on the course.
At the Champagne (and ale!) reception and during a delicious four course dinner guests were entertained by two magicians, David Penn and Chris Priest. The after dinner cabaret was provided by “The Rat Pack’s Back” whilst the MC for the night, Jon Hammond conducted a successful auction. Earlier the golfers were entertained by Jeremy Dale, the UK’s leading trickshot artist before competing for prizes generously supplied by Tunnock’s Biscuits. Among those Emmerdale celebrities on hand for the festivities were Patsy Kensit, Chris Chittell, Peter Martin, Clive Hornby and Lesley Meredith. The hugely enjoyable event is estimated to have raised £25,000 for Wooden Spoon.
