The Fylde President's team manager Mark Nelson said “This is a great game to be hosting at the Club. Malcolm Phillips has coordinated the fixture and games against the SpoonA-As are always a top, entertaining spectacle and a highly enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I have put a squad together on behalf of Allan Townsend, Fylde's President, that represents all aspects of our club.
"We have young up and coming players still in their teens playing alongside veterans who are ... well not quite in their teens, and all points in between. We will enter into the illustrious heritage of AA ames by playing open and free flowing rugby … in fact it was this approach that enticed Mssrs Scott, Rigby and Filipo to get their boots out and play!! They're Fylde's equivalent of the famous Pontypool Front Row!"
Josh Beaumont, the latest talent in the family dynasty, makes his senior début in the same season that he has achieved North of England U'18s recognition.
There are excellent lunch packages available as advertised in the club and on the website and can be booked by ringing the office on 01253 734733. Admission is £2.00 per head, with 50% of all takings going to Wooden Spoon.
