The Ellen Tinkham School is a Special Needs school for nearly 100 children with a range of severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties in Exeter. Spoon Devon recently donated £50K towards a total cost of £170K for a building extension to accommodate a number of treatment suites.

The official unveiling will be conducted by Bath, England and Lions star Matt Perry. The Ellen Tinkham School benefits from a wide range of specialist staff and extensive, well-equipped facilities. Class groups are small, with a high staff : pupil ratio, so that children have plenty of support in order to achieve.

They also close links with several mainstream schools, where children can access high quality inclusion opportunities. Spoon presently has 41 ‘outstanding’ Regional projects in progress or completed and awaiting official opening. Commitment to these 41 was c£1.7m. Overall, Spoon has made contributions to over 400 capital projects since 1983, totalling just over £15 million in spend.
