 Lawrence was kept busy autographing copies of his book, which were auctioned to eager guests, and in giving his forthright views on English rugby to MC Martin Bayfield.
The event, the highlight of Middlesex Spoon’s calendar, is hoped to have raised more than £15,000 for the charity.
