Gill, retired Chief Executive of Oki UK, who had been a major supporter of Wooden Spoon over the years, took up the post on an interim basis in September 2007. Gill explained ‘Initially, I really had intended to work with Wooden Spoon only until it found a permanent Chief Executive. However, I was enjoying the work so much I asked the Trustees to consider my application for the post. This really is a tremendously exciting time for the Charity and I am delighted that I am going to be a part of it.’

Wooden Spoon’s Chairman, Roger Davies, added ‘In the short time Chris has been with us, he has been a very vigorous and positive force. With our anniversary year just beginning, his appointment comes at the perfect time.’
