| Herts Packs A Lot in Before Xmas! |

| The Hertfordshire region of Spoon travels from Zulu Territory to Welwyn Garden City all in the month of November. |

November was a busy month for the Herts region of Spoon, with two fund raisers in a single month. In the first instance, Glen and Roy Campbell and David Houghton from the Herts Region organising team, joined Chairman of the Spoon Trustees, Roger Davies, in sharing the plaudits of a splendid evenings entertainment provided by Rob Caskie ( as seen above with his wife Karen). Rob is a world-renowned authority on the Zulu wars in South Africa and lectured to an enthralled audience of 120 at Mid Herts Golf Club on the battle of Isandlwana. A supper with a South African flavour was also enjoyed by all and the evening raised £2,200 for the Spoon. Roy Campbell retired as Regional Chairman earlier this year. Roger Davies was able to present his " Thank You " plaque during the evening.
Later in the month, Welwyn Rugby Club held " An evening with Joe Worsley " - the main beneficiary being Welwyn RFC. However Joe, being our Herts Region President, brought some auction items with him and was able to raise £1300 as a donation to the Spoon. We appreciate his generosity and want to thank Joe for thinking of the Spoon.
