For the 6th year running Andrew Nason of Nasons of Canterbury held another very successful sponsored charity Raceday at Folkestone Racecourse in memory of his late father, Fred Nason, whose first love was horse racing.
The day helped to raise funds for Wooden Spoon which Andrew Nason has been actively involved in for over 16 years. This year he played host to over 110 guests taking over the whole of the second floor.
The race day was supported by many local firms including Parker’s Steel, Pentins Accountants, P.A. Grant Electrical Ltd, Reactive UK Ltd, Sandom Robinson Solicitors, Charles Hewitt Ltd, Ratcliffe & Brown Wines & Spirits Ltd, Colourdécor Ltd, The Barham Chiropractic Clinic, Cathedral Software and of course Nasons of Canterbury Ltd.
The Spoon Race Sweepstake and raffle went very well with prizes of some fine wines and champagne being generously donated by a very old supporter of Spoon, Mr Andrew Brown of Ratcliffe & Brown Wines & Spirits. In all just under £5000 was raised on the day.
