| Herts Holds Entertaining Evening at Letchworth Rugby Club |
| The last day of August saw in a great dinner at the Letchworth Rugby Club, supporting the local branch of Hertfordshire Spoon. |
| Graham Steele and John Nicholl organised the fun evening with Phil Bennett acting as MC for the night. It was a splendid event and Phil Bennett provided witty quips and anecdotes about topics ranging from Welsh Rugby to the British Lions Tours and some of the players. Letchworth is an old Hertfordshire Club and their small clubhouse filled to capacity with just under 70 people. Hertfordshire Spoon raised around £1500, and representatives from Stradbrook Markeing recruited an additional 19 new Wooden Spoon members on the night - and outstanding result for any event. .
