 The sum of £250 was raised from a competition to name a Wooden Spoon bear and donations received in exchange for iced fairy cakes. Kay Stevenson and Sarah Mannion from the Wooden Spoon Manchester & Cheshire Committee came along on the day to offer their support and the charity’s mascot, Woody, made an appearance much to the delight of the children!
Charlie Womersley, Chairman for the region comments “On behalf of the regional committee I would like to thank Diane Lea and the players for their fundraising efforts, it was a great way to raise funds for Spoon and much appreciated”.
