In Spoon’s 25th anniversary year, this popular event, the Four Peaks Challenge, is again exceeding all expectations, with the maximum number of teams expected to gather at the foot of the first peak, Ben Nevis. With each team committing to raise a minimum of £4,400, 2008 should be an exceptional year.
There are still a few places left for teams of three plus a driver who wish to conquer Ben Nevis, Helvellyn, Snowdon and Carantouhill in South West Ireland in less than 48 hours. The 1900 miles of driving in between have been made easier with this year’s sponsorship of the event by Ford, who will be supplying all teams with a vehicle for the duration of the event.
As with all Spoon challenges, fundraising is made easier by your own page on the www.spoonchallenges.com website with links through to your www.justgiving.com fundraising page. Training hints and tips and all the info about the event can be accessed online in the password protected Challengers’ Zone.
