| Two Rugby Clubs Donate to Essex Spoon on the Same Day! |

| £2500 was raised for Essex Spoon at a fundraisers at Rochford Hundred RFC and Chelmsford RFC on March 31 2007. |

Two Essex rugby clubs held fundraisers in March to support their local region of Spoon. Rochford RFC held a very successful lunch prior to their fixture against Braintree. Over 90 people sat down to an excellent lunch and raised over £1600 for Essex Spoon. The auction and raffle were particularly well supported and a number of new Members were signed up from both Clubs, thus extending the Spoon message further across Essex Clubs. On the same day, Chelmsford RFC-held another lunch where proceeds were split between the club and Spoon. Again 90 people attended, new members were signed up and £850 was raised for Essex Spoon. In total, these two events raised about £2500 for Spoon and we are most grateful to both Rochford and Chelmsford for their continued support.
