The Wooden Spoon Blues battled against some of the best teams in Europe loosing to a strong Russion Team in the quarters and the Wooden Spoon Women were defeated four tries to two by the England Samurai's in the final while the the Wooden Spoon Vets won the title for the third successive year in magnificent style. |

| It was an action packed weekend of rugby for the Spoon teams as they helped to promote the charity and its work to the rugby community. On Saturday Spoon Rugby won the Cheshire Vets Tournament; On Sunday the Wooden SpoonA-As played Shrewsbury RUFC in their Centenary match, winning 50-21; at the same time the senior XV were in action at Middlesbrough for the opening of their new clubhouse winning 34-17 while in Sussex the WSBlues lost in the final of the Sunshine 7's at East Grinstead, 19-17 to Jeddites. |
